Monthly spot-on application of Prinovox
Fleas are a nuisance and can be a challenge to eliminate once in your home.
Prinovox is a new generation spot-on medication. Unfortunately, fleas can be quite resistant to many of the older non-prescriptive spot-on treatments.
We offer alternative options for flea treatment for cats that do not tolerate spot-on therapies.
Program injections given every 6 months are an effective way to prevent flea infestations.
Another option for flea prevention is a very effective flea and tick collar Seresto (lasts 7-8 months).
Milpro is a broad spectrum wormer. Unlike many wormers purchased over the counter, Milpro is effective in killing all types of kitten and cat worms. It is safe from 6 weeks of age. (For those who struggle with tablets, Profender spot on wormer is available).
We advise Milpro or Profender spot-on treatment every 3 months.
We recommend to spay/neuter your pet from 6 months of age. Neutering a male cat at an early age will prevent spraying and roaming. Spaying a female cat will prevent unwanted pregnancies and hormonal uterine infections (pyometra).
Recommended at the time of 2nd vaccination or at time of spay/neuter (whilst they are asleep!)
We advise pet insurance for all pets. When choosing a plan we advise a life cover policy. A life cover policy will cover your pet for the whole term of an ongoing medical condition, whereas a limited policy will only provide cover for one year from the date of the initial diagnosis of the condition.
Some recommended insurance companies – Agria, Pet Plan, Direct Line, Argos, Tescos and others.
