We understand that veterinary costs can be unexpected and expensive. So we offer a range of financial options to ensure that every pet receives the care that they need.
If your pet has been unfortunate to require veterinary care, we usually expect payment after treatment on the discharge of your pet from the practice. In some cases, we may ask for a deposit upfront.
If you have pet insurance, we are happy to deal directly with your insurers so that you do not have to pay for treatment costs yourselves. In this case, we request that pre-authorisation and approval is obtained from your insurers prior to surgery. Please inform us that you wish for a direct claim at least 7 days days prior to the surgery date, so we can process a pre-authorisation request with your pet insurance company.
If you have already paid for the treatment, we can always submit a claim after treatment so that you receive the costs back from your insurers.
We do no charge an adminstration fee for submitting insurance claims.
Please see the Pet Insurance page for more information regarding pet insurance policies.
We want all animals to receive the care they need, and we do not want you worrying about the costs if you do not have insurance cover.
We have partnered with CarefreeCredit - a service that can provide finance immediately to help all pets get the treatment they need, when they need it.
As a pet owner, you can apply for an interest free payment option to cover treatment costs through CarefreeCredit. The application takes around 5 minutes and is completed online, either here at the surgery, or if you prefer, at home via an email link.
As soon as your application is approved, we can carry out the treatment that your pet requires. CarefreeCredit will provide us with the finances to treat your pet, and you have a monthly direct debit to pay off the agreement in affordable monthly payments over a fixed term (either 6, 10 or 12 months). The loan is interest free and no deposit is needed.
For example: £1000 treatment plan over 12 months, with zero deposit is just £83.33 per month at 0% APR Representative. Total repayable over 12 months is therefore £1000.
If you already have pet insurance but find that the insurance does not cover all the costs of treatment, then CarefreeCredit can cover the remainder.
Applicants must be able to fulfil the criteria list below:
- Retired and receiving a pension?
- Receiving disability benefits?

Please note that any type of unemployment benefit is NOT acceptable.
- Credit or debit card registered at your current address?
